Teaching Seminar provided teachers with an overview of the “The Vienna Project,” and introduced teachers to the following programs:

  • Established a relationship between the memorial project located in the public realm and Holocaust curriculum in the classroom
  • Introduced Human Rights education and the European Agency for Human Rights (FRA) Toolkit and Handbook for teachers
  • Presented educational programming linked to the 38 addresses representing the different victim groups; introduce the smartphone app as a digital tool for curriculum development
  • Provided an overview of the thematic tour program presenting the 38 addresses, modified to meet the needs of different age groups with implications for curriculum development
  • Outlined opportunities for teachers and students to be involved in the fabrication of the memorial project through the audio interview program
  • Provided instruction for recording, uploading and archiving digital interviews onto project website
