Activities of remembrance, will be developed as a series of programs unfolding over a period of six months.  Each of the programs: forums, opening and closing events, installations and a symposium will produce a new framework for understanding memory. The programs will be charged to create fresh links from the past to the present, and from the unconscious to the conscious.  Sponsoring an environment of inquiry and reflection, artists, historians and educators will invite the public to contemplate the question: “What happens when we forget to remember?”
